Reminders for Tuesday, April 26
- The first day of ladies league is Tuesday, May 3, therefore, we can start booking tee times 7:00 a.m. this Tuesday, April 26, for the following Tuesday. In the event you have forgotten your “user name” and/or “password”, see mini tutorial below.
- If you have any problems with booking on Tee-On, please contact:

- Please ensure that you book your tee time before each Friday as the public is then given access to any unused tee times that had been originally allotted for the ladies’ leagues.
The Rules and Handicap Committee (Gina Loree and Meril Singer) will be holding a clinic Tuesday, April 26, at 7:00 p.m. at the Mill Woods Club House (Woodvale Community League 4540 – 50 St.). This is a great chance to review some basic information and have any questions answered.

Spring Social Recap
We had a great turn out of well over 100 ladies at our Spring Social on Tuesday, April 12 and judging from the chatter and laughter I think everyone had a great time. The evening started off with some socializing and then a quick business meeting where the minutes of the annual fall meeting, the 2015 financial statement and 2016 budget were approved. It was noted that due to anticipated increases in catering prices by Woodvale Community League we could be looking at an increase in our Registration Fees for 2017. The Executive was introduced and the process of filling the empty President and Treasurer positions explained. Joan Kirillo, Business Manager, brought greetings from the golf course and told us that the course was in great shape. Staff in the pro-shop remains the same as last year and there has been a small increase in green fees. All the cart paths were paved last year and there are no plans in the works for course improvement this year. Communication from Golf Canada indicated there are no plans to re-rate Mill Woods Golf Course in the foreseeable future. Joan shared with us that the Ladies Club receives 20% off all clothing for the entire season, and 10% off golf shoes and clubs. Special offer of 30% off the night of the Spring Social only. Following the business meeting, Rebecca Fricker gathered her bevy of beauties for a preview of some of the fashions in the Pro Shop this year. Many thanks to all of the good sports who agreed to participate–you were amazing! Once the applause and laughter died down, we drew for the 50/50 winner – there was a very healthy jackpot that went to a brand new member – welcome to our club!
All members, new and returning, are invited to join us at the Mill Woods Clubhouse (aka Woodvale Community League), main floor, 4540 – 50 Street, on Tuesday, April 12th at 7:00 p.m. for the Spring Social and official start of the 2016 Mill Woods Ladies Golf Club season. We are very excited to see everyone again and share plans for this upcoming year.
The Spring Social is the kick-off but we are required to do some review of last year’s business (minutes from the fall meeting and 2015 financials), and then we can look forward to 2016 (budget, sign-ups for the Marshall and Podersky Interclub play, New Member Orientation and Rules & Handicap Clinic).
There will be a fashion show, light snacks, a cash bar and lots of information to share and fun to be had. Looking forward to seeing one and all!
