We are excited to announce the hiring of James Whitton as our new Head Golf Professional. James has been in the golf industry for over 20 years and began his career and turned Pro at the Mill Woods Golf Club. In 2011 James became the Head Golf Professional at the Leduc Golf Club and for the last six years has served as their General Manager. During his tenure at Leduc, he introduced several initiatives giving that course a higher profile in the region including hosting an annual Pro-Am (wonder where he got that idea). Leduc also recently hosted the Golf Canada National Junior Girls Championship. James also was heavily involved in negotiating a long-term partnership with the City of Leduc, and the design and construction of a new 10,000 square foot facility while developing a strategy to keep the course fully operational during the construction of the building.
We look forward to having James return to his roots and know that he will be bringing with him his enthusiasm for the game and for golf operations.
